  • In August 2021, Salesforce announced that it has acquired the Slack communication platform in a deal worth $27.7 billion. The acquisition is expected to enhance Salesforce’s offering by combining Slack’s collaboration tools with Salesforce’s customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
  • In June 2021, Salesforce announced that it will be expanding its Vaccine Cloud technology to help governments and healthcare organizations manage COVID-19 vaccination programs. Vaccine Cloud is a secure and scalable platform that enables vaccine management, appointment scheduling, and patient communication.
  • In May 2021, Salesforce announced that it will be retiring its Data Recovery service, which helps customers recover lost or deleted data from their Salesforce instances. The decision was made due to the availability of other backup and recovery solutions, and the retirement will take effect on July 31, 2021.
  • In April 2021, Salesforce announced that it has completed its acquisition of the digital collaboration platform, MuleSoft, which will enable Salesforce to provide more seamless integration of enterprise applications and data.
  • In March 2021, Salesforce announced that it will be acquiring the enterprise collaboration platform, Acumen Solutions, to expand its services and capabilities for customers. The acquisition is expected to help Salesforce better serve its customers’ needs by providing additional expertise and services.
  • Digital 360: In June 2021, Salesforce launched Digital 360, a platform to help businesses create personalized digital experiences for their customers.
  • Slack acquisition: In December 2020, Salesforce announced its acquisition of Slack for $27.7 billion. This move is expected to help Salesforce compete better in the enterprise collaboration software market.
  • Vaccine Cloud: In January 2021, Salesforce launched Vaccine Cloud, a new platform to help governments and healthcare organizations manage the distribution and administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Einstein Automate: In March 2021, Salesforce announced Einstein Automate, a suite of tools designed to help businesses automate their processes using artificial intelligence and low-code tools.
  • Tableau 2021.2: In August 2021, Tableau, a Salesforce company, released Tableau 2021.2, which includes new features such as dynamic parameters, integrated data prep, and improved analytics capabilities.
  • Dreamforce 2021: In September 2021, Salesforce held its annual Dreamforce conference, which was a virtual event this year due to the ongoing pandemic. The conference featured keynote speeches, product announcements, and sessions on a variety of topics related to Salesforce and its ecosystem.
